What makes a cake "vintage"

The look comes from overpiping: rows of buttercream shells, swags, ruffles and scallops stacked around the top and sides of the cake, so the frosting is the decoration.

On top of the piping I add whatever fits the occasion. Satin bows and glitter cherries are the most requested, and pearls, flowers and hand-written messages are common too.

Is a vintage cake the same as a Lambeth cake?

Close to it. Lambeth is the name of the old overpiping technique the vintage look comes from, so people use the two names for the same style: layer on layer of buttercream piping.

Can I get the same design as a round cake?

Yes. Every design comes heart-shaped or round, and the starting prices are the same.

What sizes do heart cakes come in?

Six, 8 or 10 inch, with 2, 3 or 4 layers. Put your guest count on the quote form and I'll suggest a size.

Can I send an inspiration photo?

Yes. Open any cake in the gallery and choose "Get a quote for one like this" to attach it to your request. For photos from somewhere else, message me on Instagram.

How far ahead can I book?

I take orders up to 1½ months before your pickup date, and at least 3 days out. If your date is further away than that, please reach out closer to the date.
